POSITION
This is a senior leadership hire within the firm's fund finance function, reporting directly to the CFO. The Director, Fund Accounting, will own all fund accounting operations for a dedicated set of private credit funds and oversee a small direct team with scope for growth. This role offers an opportunity to step into a high-visibility mandate at a well-capitalized, growing platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the fund accounting team supporting multiple private credit fund structures
- Oversee quarterly financial statements and investor reporting across multi-jurisdictional structures, including master-feeders, SPVs, and GP entities
- Manage all core fund accounting activities: journal entries, management fees, valuations, accruals, and bank reconciliations
- Own the capital activity process: capital calls, distributions, rebalancing schedules, and carried interest calculations
- Coordinate year-end audits and regulatory compliance obligations, including tax, FATCA/CRS, and SLFI reporting
- Manage external relationships with fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and legal advisors
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a small, growing team of fund accountants
- Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, investor relations, legal, and compliance teams
- Contribute to new fund launches and finance infrastructure initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- 8–15+ years of fund accounting and administration experience, with a focus on private and/or alternative funds
- Prior experience at an alternative asset manager, private credit, or private equity fund accounting background preferred
- CPA/CA designation with IFRS specialization preferred
- Strong familiarity with multi-jurisdictional fund structures, FATCA/CRS, SLFI, and Level 3 investment valuations
- Proven team leadership and people management skills in a fast-paced, institutional environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
